Chipotle, the U.S. fast‑casual chain, is opening its first Southeast Asian restaurant in Singapore. The store will be on Level 2 of a local mall, making it a key step for the brand in the region.
The Singapore restaurant will be run by S&C Restaurants Holdings. This company is a joint venture between Chipotle and Big Bite Company, which is an affiliate of Sangmidang Holdings.
Chipotle already opened two restaurants in Asia, both in Seoul, South Korea. The first opened on September 2 and the second opened on October 28.
Hee Soo Hur, president and chief vision officer of Sangmidang Holdings, said Singapore’s vibrant food culture and appreciation for high‑quality ingredients make it an exciting market for Chipotle. Chipotle says its food is real, prepared fresh every day, and fully customizable for each guest.
Because Singapore values fresh, quality food, Chipotle sees a good fit for its real‑food, customizable concept. The new store will bring this experience to Singaporean diners.
