Tình yêu và sự chăm sóc: Câu chuyện của Van và Daniel
Source: Vietnamnet
Ngo Thi Thuy Van was born in 1979 and lost the ability to move her legs when she was seven months old. She moved to the United States in 2018, works as a makeup artist, and raises a 19‑year‑old son.
In October 2024 Van met Daniel Chrismer, who was born in 1985 and is six years younger than her, through a dating app. They began dating in December 2024.
After a serious car accident and shoulder surgery, Daniel cared for Van every day. He carried her, massaged her legs, and helped with personal hygiene, while his mother also looked after Van when Daniel worked.
Van and Daniel married in a church ceremony in Georgia. About 70 guests attended, and the wedding celebrated their partnership despite cultural and physical challenges.
Their story shows that genuine emotional support and practical help can greatly improve the life of a person with a disability. Love and daily care can create a strong, inclusive partnership.
