Route 129, also called Vo Chi Cong Road, is a beautiful coastal highway in central Vietnam. The road runs from Da Nang to Chu Lai Airport and offers great ocean views. However, a long part of the road has no fuel stations, which can be a problem for drivers.
The stretch between Cua Dai Bridge near Hoi An and Chu Lai Airport is about 75‑80 km long and has no gas stations. Drivers must watch their fuel level carefully or take a detour to find a station.
In recent months, traffic on Route 129 has grown, especially freight trucks and tourist vehicles. Because of the higher demand, Nguyen Ngoc Hung, director of Petrolimex’s Quang Nam branch, said the company and local authorities are looking for places to build new fuel stations along the road.
The plan to add stations is still being prepared, but it shows that more services may appear soon. Until then, travelers should plan their fuel before entering the 75‑80 km stretch.
