The new discount helps rail tourists see more of Hue’s history while paying less. It is useful for anyone planning a short trip by train and wanting to visit famous monuments.
Local and international tourists travelling on the Hue‑Da Nang or Hue‑Phong Nha tourist trains receive a 50 % discount on entrance fees at five heritage sites in the UNESCO‑recognized Complex of Hue Monuments. The discount works for tickets in either direction of the train route.
The five sites are the Hue Imperial Citadel, the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, the Tomb of King Thieu Tri, the Tomb of King Duc Duc and the Tomb of King Dong Khanh. Each train ticket gives one discounted admission, valid for seven consecutive days from the travel date shown on the ticket.
The municipal People’s Committee introduced the incentive to stimulate tourism demand, encourage rail travel and extend visitors’ stays in the city. The program runs through the end of 2026. Visitors who qualify for several incentive schemes receive only the highest discount.
With the half‑price entry, rail tourists can explore more of Hue’s history without spending a lot. This discount makes a cultural visit cheaper and may encourage longer stays.
