Hanoi’s Vietnam Culture Day, scheduled for late November, combines spectacular fireworks, a historic parade and interactive exhibitions. Understanding how the capital organises such a large‑scale event can offer useful insights for anyone interested in event management.
The city will distribute around 50,000 tickets for a fireworks and arts show at My Dinh Stadium on 24 November. According to Nguyen Thi Mai Huong, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the performance will begin at 8 pm, last no longer than 120 minutes and be broadcast live on VTV1.
A heritage parade is set for 21 November around Hoan Kiem Lake, involving about 2,300 participants from 48 communes. The procession will showcase traditional costumes and crafts, highlighting Hanoi’s rich cultural legacy.
From 21 to 24 November, five cultural experience zones will operate in the pedestrian area, featuring virtual‑reality and augmented‑reality installations as well as exhibitions. These zones aim to blend modern technology with the city’s historical narratives.
Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, said the city will intensify market inspections during the year‑end shopping season, focusing on food, electronics and counterfeit goods. Violations will be penalised according to city regulations.
By coordinating ticket distribution, live broadcasting, immersive zones and rigorous safety checks, Hanoi demonstrates a comprehensive approach to staging a major cultural festival. The plan underscores the importance of meticulous organization for a successful public celebration.
