Long Coc Tea Hills Reach Global Photo Competition

A photo of the Long Coc tea hills in Phu Tho Province was chosen as one of the top 30 finalists in the 2026 Weather Photographer of the Year competition. This news shows how a single picture can bring attention to a beautiful place.

The Royal Meteorological Society says the competition received 5,500 entries and selected 30 photographs for the final list. The organisers say these shortlisted images are an important reminder of climate‑change impacts.

Long Coc tea hills cover more than 670 hectares and are famous for sunrise and Milky Way photography. Being shown in a global contest may attract more tourists and help people notice the area’s climate challenges.

The public can vote for the winning picture on the Royal Meteorological Society’s website until November 5, and anyone in the world may take part. Remember, the photo’s inclusion can boost tourism and raise awareness of climate change.
