Time Out placed Hanoi 15th among the world’s best cities for nightlife in its 2026 ranking, published in August.

The ranking was based on responses from more than 24,000 people living in 150 cities, and on inputs from editors and city experts. It looked at affordability, quality, community and the atmosphere after dark.

Travelers said they enjoy pedestrian‑only streets, night markets, cheap food and many places to go. You can find street‑side beer stalls, hidden cocktail bars and even techno clubs.

Hanoi scored 82% of local respondents saying it was easy to connect with others, showing a strong community feeling.

In Asia, Hanoi ranked after Bangkok, Beijing and Hong Kong.

For visitors, this mix of community, low prices and walkable streets means a night out can be easy, social and full of choices.
