Why Vinpearl is Looking Abroad Even as Vietnam’s Luxury Travel Grows
Vì sao Vinpearl hướng ra nước ngoài dù thị trường du lịch cao cấp trong nước vẫn tăng trưởng

Vinpearl, the hospitality arm of Vingroup, has announced plans to open properties outside Vietnam. The move is part of a long‑term strategy and offers a glimpse into how a leading local brand aims to grow beyond its home market.
According to MB Securities, Vinpearl will choose overseas projects only when the destination meets three criteria: solid infrastructure, sufficient local purchasing power, and experienced operating partners. This careful screening is meant to protect the brand’s reputation and profitability.
The overseas push does not mean Vietnam’s market is saturated. In fact, the domestic luxury travel sector keeps expanding as the middle‑ and upper‑class population seeks more high‑end vacations and entertainment.
Financially, Vinpearl showed strong results in the first half of 2026. It reached 71 % of its full‑year profit target, posted VND6.795 trillion in net revenue – a 15 % year‑on‑year rise – and earned VND2.18 trillion in net profit, more than eight times the profit recorded in the same period of 2025.
Building on this momentum, Vinpearl will launch two new hotel brands: the six‑star Legendlux aimed at affluent Vietnamese and international guests, and the mid‑size VinFun designed for families and young travelers. The company also plans to enter the premium senior‑living market, with its first project expected in the final quarter of 2026.
In short, Vinpearl’s overseas expansion is driven by a desire to diversify and capture new revenue streams, not by a lack of growth at home. Its solid financial performance and new brand launches suggest the company is positioning itself for long‑term success both in Vietnam and abroad.
