Only about 5,000 iPhone Duo phones arrived in Vietnam for the first launch. Because the supply is tiny, many sellers raise the price, so buyers may pay far more than the official cost.
The official retail price of the 256 GB model is VND64.99 million. Resale listings for this model reach VND80 million, a premium of up to VND31 million. Across all storage versions, resellers add VND10‑30 million because of the shortage.
Do Thanh Nam, an information technology engineer, warned that buyers using Facebook trading groups can face deposit scams, fake invoices and warranty problems. He said sellers may ask money before showing the real phone or a valid invoice. Buyers should check the seller’s identity and only pay after seeing the device.
If you can wait, the next shipments are expected in January or February 2027. Buying then can avoid the high resale premiums and lower the risk of fraud.
