Vietnam Airlines will start a new direct flight from Hanoi to Ahmedabad on 3 November. This is the airline’s seventh route to India and could give Vietnamese travelers cheaper and faster trips.
The airline will run four round‑trip flights each week – on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday – using Airbus A321 aircraft. A round‑trip ticket costs from VND6.3 million (about US$243) and the low price is offered for bookings made until 31 December 2026.
India is Vietnam’s eighth largest source of international tourists. In the first nine months of this year, more than 670,000 Indian visitors came to Vietnam, a rise of 33 % compared with last year. Deputy CEO Nguyen Quang Trung said the new route will strengthen direct connections between Vietnam and Gujarat, helping tourism, trade and economic cooperation.
Adding Ahmedabad makes it the fifth Vietnamese destination in India, joining Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The new service can lower travel costs for Vietnamese people and support business links with western India.
