On October 15, FPT broke ground on Digital Technology Building 01, the first structure of a $3.3 billion Digital Technology Park in Hanoi’s Phu Dien and Tay Tuu wards. The project is presented as a new growth engine for the city’s digital economy, promising many skilled jobs.
The 69,831.5 m² building will accommodate around 6,000 digital‑technology specialists and support staff. Its construction cost exceeds $50.7 million, and the project is expected to be finished in roughly 12 months. Once opened, the tower will host engineers, researchers and businesses in one campus.
The design adds supplementary solar power, electric‑vehicle charging stations, rain‑water collection for irrigation and street cleaning, and wastewater treatment before discharge. The building also includes these green features.
The wider park will spread over nearly 200 hectares, with planned investment exceeding $3.3 billion and an expected workforce of about 75,000 staff, engineers and specialists. Hanoi aims for the digital economy to contribute at least 40% of its gross regional domestic product by 2030, making the park a key pillar of that ambition.
By concentrating thousands of tech professionals and advanced facilities in one area, the FPT park is set to boost Hanoi’s digital innovation and create many high‑skill jobs. Its success could shape the city’s economy and help meet the 40% digital‑GDP goal.
