The 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany gave Vietnam a chance to shine. It is important because the event can help Vietnamese books reach readers around the world.
The Ho Chi Minh City delegation met 36 international partners during the fair. They also displayed nearly 100 English‑language and bilingual titles that promote Vietnamese culture.
During the public days, the pavilion welcomed nearly 500 international visitors interested in Vietnamese culture. Ngoc Hoi said direct connections with large‑scale printing businesses will help Ho Chi Minh City become a regional hub for high‑quality printing and publishing.
The publishing sector has set three priorities: improve English‑language and bilingual books about Vietnam, join more international book fairs, and support Vietnamese authors in global forums. These goals show why the fair could be a turning point for the industry.
