The university celebrated the opening of its Policy Development Research Center (Building A3) after nine months of construction. The $8.8 million, five‑story building is meant to strengthen research, training and policy advice, so it matters for anyone interested in applied economics or law.
Spanning more than 13,000 m², Building A3 houses laboratories for business intelligence and AI, a mock courtroom, an arbitration simulation room and a 300‑seat auditorium. These spaces are ready for students to use in their studies.
The centre is designed to bring together faculty members, scientists, students and businesses, encouraging interdisciplinary research and innovation. By sharing the same facilities, students can collaborate directly with experts from different fields.
Rector Hoang Cong Gia Khanh said the centre will connect the university’s research and training activities with Vietnam National University’s innovation ecosystem, fostering cooperation among government, academia and businesses. This link aims to give students a clearer path from classroom learning to real‑world impact.
The centre’s research priorities – green growth, financing the green transition, digital assets and megacity governance – match Vietnam’s development needs. For students and young researchers, the focus means their projects can contribute to national priorities while building valuable expertise.
