A Philippine man created a very special marriage proposal in Hanoi’s famous incense‑making village. The idea was to use thousands of incense sticks to spell a love question, a scene that many people later shared online.

He spent a month planning the event and chose Quang Phu Cau incense‑making village, a traditional village about 35 km from downtown Hanoi. The village is known for a century‑old incense‑making craft and attracts many international tourists. He used 1,500 kg of incense sticks for the proposal.

Director Nguyen Dinh Dam and village staff helped design the layout. Local residents spent a day dyeing and arranging the sticks into a heart, a ring, and the words “Will you marry me?”

Photos of the proposal quickly went viral on social media and received widespread praise. The event shows how a cultural heritage site can become a unique, large‑scale romantic gesture that touches people around the world.
