Vietnam aims for at least 10% GDP growth in 2027, a target that could lift per‑capita income to $6,100 while keeping inflation near 4.5% and boosting labor productivity by 8.6%. Prime Minister Le Minh Hung told lawmakers that this marks a year of acceleration and breakthroughs.
The government plans to raise budget revenue by 9.1% and curb recurrent spending. Full‑year revenue is projected at VND3.06 quadrillion (US$118.2 bn), an increase of 14%.
To broaden financing, the government will issue several types of bonds, obtain official development assistance loans, mobilise credit and private resources, and encourage both state‑owned and foreign‑invested enterprises to increase their investment. These steps are meant to secure more stable and varied sources of capital for growth projects.
Prime Minister Le Minh Hung pledged to lower lending rates by 1.5–2 percentage points and to channel credit toward production, exports, science‑technology and small‑ and medium‑sized enterprises. He said the State Bank of Vietnam would work with credit institutions to implement these reductions.
On the infrastructure front, Vietnam completed another 395 km of expressways and opened the whole eastern North‑South Expressway to traffic. The government also resolved issues at 4,688 stalled projects, clearing the way for further investment.
Together, higher fiscal revenue, diversified funding, cheaper credit for key sectors, and faster infrastructure work form the backbone of Vietnam’s plan to achieve at least 10% growth in 2027. If these measures succeed, they could sustain strong economic momentum while keeping inflation under control.
