Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport has entered the world’s top‑10 busiest international hubs for the first time. This shows how fast the airport is growing and why travelers should notice the change.

The report says Bangkok’s main airport is projected to handle 2.76 million international passengers in October, up 4 % from a year earlier, placing it 10th on the list. It now beats many older airports in the ranking.

According to Airports of Thailand, Suvarnabhumi handles around 1,050 flights daily, and traffic rises during major holidays such as Songkran. Passenger traffic is forecast to continue growing, with the airport expected to serve about 65 million travelers in 2026, 26 % more than last year. The number is projected to rise to 73 million by 2029.

The key point is that rapid passenger growth and strong forecasts have moved Bangkok’s airport into the global top‑10. The airport expects even more travelers in the next few years.
