Vietnam Airlines has just won a big food award. The news shows how airline meals can share a country’s culture with the world.

According to the Skytrax 2026 World Airline Awards, Vietnam Airlines won the food title. The win ended Air France’s four‑year hold on the award and the airline beat Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific and Turkish Airlines.

The airline says its business‑class menus include regional Vietnamese dishes. Passengers can eat Hanoi‑style grilled pork with rice noodles, Quang‑style noodles and Hoi An’s cao lau.

The airline also offers Vietnamese pho on international flights, and on routes to South Korea it serves bibimbap and bulgogi. Menus mix Vietnamese and international foods and change by travel class, route, season and aircraft.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam says these regional flavors give travelers a glimpse of Vietnamese culture. Winning the award shows that Vietnam Airlines can promote its food and country to passengers around the world.
