Vietnam’s government has turned the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57, dated December 22 2024, into concrete digital‑transformation projects. The aim is to make public services faster, easier and reachable for ordinary people.
In Minh Ngoc Commune, Tuyen Quang Province, the local Public Administration Service Center handled almost 3,000 applications, with only eight people coming to the office in person. The centre achieved a 99.91 % digitisation rate and earned a 97.7‑out of‑100 score in the public‑service performance index.
The Nghe An Border Guard has placed QR codes at community centres and public gathering points, so residents can scan the code and send reports, photos or information about suspected offences. This simple tool not only strengthens security but also helps people become comfortable with digital technology.
Ho Chi Minh City’s Centers of Excellence scheme allocated VND85 billion to the Advanced Materials Technology Institute and nearly VND96 billion to the Saigon Hi‑Tech Park R&D Center to develop AI, IoT, semiconductor and green‑transition technologies. In Da Nang, Resolution No. 33/2026 offers businesses up to VND3 billion per year per project, covering up to 50 % of equipment costs—or 70 % when a technology‑transfer contract is involved—for strategic fields such as semiconductors, AI, IoT, digital twins and robotics.
These initiatives already make daily life smoother: citizens file paperwork online, report issues with a phone scan, and benefit from faster, more reliable services. As the programmes grow, more Vietnamese can expect convenient, digital public services.
