A bride’s wedding car turned over on a road in northern Vietnam. The accident shows how a construction trench can make a happy day dangerous.

The bride was riding in a Mercedes‑Benz E300 with licence plate 30L‑258.XX. She was traveling through Hoan Long Commune, Hung Yen Province, on a road that connects Dong Than Market to Provincial Road 376.

Around 11:45 am, one wheel left the narrow road and the car fell into a trench that was more than one metre deep. The trench was exposed because the road was being upgraded with infrastructure work.

Nearby residents quickly pulled the bride out of the tilted car. A leader of the Hoan Long Commune administration told Tuoi Tre that the accident caused no casualties.

The incident shows that exposed construction trenches can cause a vehicle to slip and flip, even a luxury car. Drivers should be extra careful on roads with unfinished work.
