Vietnam's U17 football team landed in South Korea on October 19 for a ten‑day training camp. The camp includes three friendly matches that will help the young players get ready for the 2026 FIFA U17 World Cup.
The friendly games are set for October 22, 26 and 28. Vietnam will play a Korean U18 club side, Korea's U16 national team and Korea's U17 national team. These matches let coaches test tactics, check player progress and sharpen the team's style.
Playing against technically strong Korean sides also gives the Vietnamese players valuable experience. After the camp ends, the team will go back to Vietnam, then travel to the United Arab Emirates on November 6 for another camp before the World Cup in Qatar.
In the World Cup, Vietnam is in Group G with Belgium, New Zealand and Mali. The top two teams and the best third‑placed teams will move on, so the training in Korea is an important step to improve their chances.
