The Southern Regional Hydro‑Meteorological Station says heavy rain will come during the evening rush hour on Monday and Tuesday. This could raise the risk of flooding and affect your daily travel.
On Monday, eastern Ho Chi Minh City may get less rain, but the city centre and northern districts could have showers in the late afternoon and evening. Dong Nai City is expected to receive heavy rain. The weather agency says short‑term rain could cause flooding in low‑lying areas, disrupting transportation and daily activities.
Tuesday may start with rain in the Mekong Delta, especially in Dong Thap, Can Tho and Vinh Long. Evening rain on Tuesday could disrupt travel during the commute, according to the weather agency. Intense short‑term rainfall can flood low areas and stop transportation.
The weather agency urges residents to stay alert for thunderstorms, whirlwinds, lightning and strong wind gusts. Plan your routes and be ready for possible delays.
