According to the city’s Party chief, Quang Ninh’s GRDP expanded 12.54% in the first nine months of 2026, and third‑quarter growth reached 15.04%, the highest nationwide. The Party chief credited infrastructure investment, high‑tech manufacturing, tourism and business reforms for the performance.

The administration set specific tasks, clear timelines and monthly review meetings to monitor progress. By doing so it resolved 150 delayed projects, removing bottlenecks that could have slowed development.

Four priority pillars guided the growth strategy: (1) planning and infrastructure development, (2) high‑tech manufacturing, (3) quality tourism, and (4) improving the investment and business environment. Each pillar received focused policies and resources to boost its impact.

Quang Ninh attracted more than VND225 trillion (about US$8.6 billion) in non‑budget investment and over US$1.3 billion in foreign direct investment during the first nine months of 2026. These inflows helped create nearly 12,000 jobs in the province’s industrial parks.
