A truck driver in Ho Chi Minh City was fined for breaking traffic rules. The case shows how the city punishes drivers who misuse horns and lights, so it is useful to read.
On October 19, the driver honked his horn many times to make a car ahead give way on Mai Chi Tho Avenue near the To Huu intersection. He also had extra front lights on his truck, which traffic regulations forbid.
The Cat Lai traffic police identified the driver as H.K.Q., a 38‑year‑old man from Quang Ngai Province. He admitted the violations and received an administrative violation record for two offenses, with a fine of VND2.4 million (US$93).
Authorities asked all drivers to follow the rules on horn use and vehicle lighting. The incident teaches that ignoring these rules can lead to fines and official records.
