Vietnam won the 2026 World Cruise Awards for best river cruise destination, announced on Oct. 12 in Jamaica. The award shows why Vietnam’s river trips are famous worldwide.

In the Mekong Delta, cruises travel past palm‑lined banks, stop at local markets, offer tropical fruit, rice fields, sunrise views and dinner on the water. In the north, trips link Ha Long Bay, the Red River, Hanoi, the ancient village of Duong Lam and craft communities.

At this year’s ceremony, Ha Long Cruise Port was named Asia’s Best Cruise Terminal. These honors confirm that Vietnam is the world’s top river cruise destination.
