Brookland Group has finished the first tranche of a US$5 million investment in Miza Corporation, a listed Vietnamese recycled paper and packaging producer. The move highlights the growing appeal of Vietnam’s sustainable packaging sector for foreign investors.
Brookland bought shares from an existing Miza shareholder rather than receiving new shares, and the fund plans to increase its stake in stages. This method lets Brookland expand its ownership without diluting the company’s equity.
John Hall, managing partner of Brookland Group, said Vietnam’s manufacturing sector was attracting growing international investor interest. He also described the Miza investment as the starting point for a long‑term cooperation with the company.
Domestic paper consumption rose 10.8 percent in 2025 to about 7.77 million metric tons, while domestic production was roughly 6.34 million metric tons. The gap signals strong demand for recycled packaging solutions that Miza can supply.
FTSE Russell upgraded Vietnam’s stock market from frontier to secondary emerging market status, and registered foreign investment reached US$50.36 billion in the first nine months of 2026, up 76.4 percent year‑on‑year. These signals show a more attractive climate for foreign capital in Vietnam’s manufacturing sector.
