The Vietnam E‑commerce and Digital Economy Agency is helping farmers and small traders sell online. It will list their products on Amazon, Shopee and TikTok Shop, opening new markets for the south.
In Dong Thap Province, five live‑stream sales on TikTok Shop and Shopee supported 32 new sellers. The streams attracted more than 6.5 million views and created 3,380 orders. A live‑stream sale at a pineapple farm generated 1,000 orders, about 3.5 tonnes of pineapples.
Ca Mau Province ran seven training courses for small traders on live‑stream selling, pricing and artificial‑intelligence use. The province also helped 56 OCOP producers list 110 products on Buudien.vn. Trade fairs there drew 645,000 visitors and earned over VND72 billion (US$2.74 million).
The agency will compile lists of eligible businesses and products to put on international e‑commerce platforms. These programmes are expected to raise sales and income for southern Vietnam’s farmers and traders.
