Travelers who watch their budget often look for cheap ways to rest. Santeon Brown, a Los Angeles resident, showed one way by sleeping at an airport after a cheap flight.
Brown found a one‑way flight to San Francisco for only US$20. After arriving in the evening, she chose to stay overnight at the San Francisco airport instead of paying for a hotel, to save money.
She said she felt safer staying beyond the security checkpoint, and she did not want to walk around an unfamiliar city late at night. Brown kept her hygiene by brushing her teeth, washing her face and using wet wipes in the public restrooms.
Brown advised other travelers to pack light and bring a few essential items to make an airport night more comfortable. She has slept at airports before and is used to sleeping outdoors from camping.
Social media reactions were mixed. Some users asked if the hard floor was comfortable or clean, while others said the choice was practical for budget‑conscious travelers. The story shows that sleeping at an airport can cut accommodation costs if you plan well.
