BigBang’s second concert in Hanoi attracted huge crowds, but the excitement was shadowed by a surge in ticket resale prices. Understanding how these markups affect fans helps you see the real cost of attending popular events.
Scalpers asked VND27 million for a pair of CAT 5 tickets, which were originally priced at VND2 million for the pair, and VND33 million for a pair of CAT 3 tickets. Both asks were about VND10 million higher than the prices reported on the first concert day.
For the Ultimate VIP Package, whose official price is VND10.5 million per ticket, scalpers bought pairs for VND50 million and then resold them for as much as VND75 million. This shows how the highest‑tier tickets can become more than seven times their face value.
My Anh, a fan who originally bought a ticket for VND7.5 million, listed it on a social‑media group for VND18‑20 million. Outside the stadium, scalpers were asking up to VND40 million for the same category, and fans warned that buying through social media carried a risk of fraud.
Security was tightened for the second concert, with nearly 2,000 personnel deployed as organizers expected about 40,000 attendees. The steep resale prices and fraud warnings are pushing many fans to either wait for lower prices or avoid the resale market altogether.
