The story is about a lost wedding ring and a beach officer who went far to return it. It shows how fast, caring service can make a good impression of Vietnam.
The Portuguese couple lost their wedding ring while swimming at My Khe Beach on Oct. 19. They asked beach officer Phan Thanh Trinh for help.
Trinh used a metal detector and, after a two‑day search, found the ring on Oct. 21. The couple were already in Phu Quoc, so Trinh flew from Da Nang to Phu Quoc on Oct. 22 to hand‑deliver the ring.
Trinh said his effort was to show Da Nang as a friendly, hospitable destination. In the first nine months, Da Nang welcomed nearly 16 million overnight visitors, with foreign visitors up about 29% and spending up over 26%.
The story shows that attentive service can turn a small problem into a memorable experience and help a city’s tourism image. Quick help can attract more visitors to Vietnam.
