Vingroup’s share price jumped almost 15% in five days, reaching its highest level in more than a month. This rise quickly changed the wealth of the company’s top owners, showing how stock moves affect personal fortunes.
Huong, the deputy chairwoman of Vingroup, saw her wealth rise 1.4% to $4.2 billion, according to real‑time data by Forbes. The increase moved her to second place in Vietnam’s billionaire ranking.
Vuong, Vingroup chairman, added $468 million to his net worth, making him the third‑biggest wealth gainer in the world. His total wealth is $37.3 billion, keeping him Vietnam’s richest person. Pham Thuy Hang, also a deputy chairwoman of Vingroup, saw her wealth rise 1.4% to $3 billion.
The eight Vietnamese billionaires together hold $55.8 billion, and Vuong’s family accounts for about 80% of that amount. The rapid change shows how a stock surge can instantly boost a billionaire’s net worth and even shift global rankings.
