Vietnam is rapidly expanding its specialised hospitals and adopting new technologies. In the next few minutes you will see how these changes can bring high‑quality treatment closer to everyday patients.

On October 17 the second campus of the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynaecology was officially opened in Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi. The new campus now receives, examines and treats patients, expanding residents’ access to specialised obstetric and gynaecological care.

On October 20 the second campus of Hanoi Heart Hospital began operations in Xuan Dinh ward, also launching an International Department. The campus is designed to provide advanced cardiovascular interventions, helping patients avoid referrals abroad for heart treatment.

Bach Mai Hospital has become the first Vietnamese facility to receive Advanced Stroke Centre certification from the World Stroke Organisation. The certification confirms the hospital’s top‑level capacity to respond to stroke emergencies and treat patients quickly.

On October 20 S.I.S Can Tho International General Hospital installed a Siemens AI‑integrated MAMMOMAT Revelation 3D mammography system, the first of its kind in the Mekong Delta, allowing local early breast‑cancer screening. Since 2016 Binh Dan Hospital has performed more than 4,320 robotic surgeries for cancers and is training other hospitals both in Vietnam and abroad.

Together, these new campuses, certifications and AI‑driven equipment make advanced medical care more reachable for Vietnamese patients. As a result, fewer people will need to travel overseas for treatment.
