Vingroup, Vietnam’s largest private conglomerate, teamed up with Legends Global, a leading international venue‑management firm, to operate the new VinFast‑Trong Dong Stadium in Hanoi. The partnership shows how a local giant can use global know‑how to create a world‑class venue, a development that could generate jobs and boost the economy.
The agreement, announced at a ceremony in Hanoi, sets the stadium’s opening for July 31, 2027. With a planned capacity of 135,000 seats, it will become the world’s largest stadium by seating capacity, a milestone that highlights Vietnam’s ambition on the global stage.
The partnership aims to turn the stadium into a leading destination for major international sporting, cultural and entertainment events. It will also help Vingroup develop its own venue‑management team, raising local expertise to international standards.
Legends Global will apply its experience of managing more than 450 venues, organising over 20,000 major events and welcoming more than 165 million visitors each year. This expertise is intended to build Vingroup’s venue‑management capabilities and ensure the stadium runs smoothly from day one.
The stadium is expected to attract major international events, boost Vietnam’s sports economy and raise Hanoi’s profile on the global stage. By combining Vingroup’s resources with Legends Global’s know‑how, the venue aims to become a hub for world‑premier events.
