How Vietnam Airlines Handled a Mid‑Flight Seizure
Vietnam Airlines ứng phó cơn co giật trên không

Vietnam Airlines flight VN35 was travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Munich when a German male passenger had a seizure in the air. The incident shows how airlines manage health emergencies during a flight.
The cabin crew gave first aid right away. A doctor on board examined the passenger and said he needed urgent hospital treatment, so the crew decided to land the plane at Islamabad International Airport for medical help.
After the passenger received care, the aircraft was refueled and got clearance to fly again to Munich. Vietnam Airlines has done similar diversions before, such as a pregnant passenger giving birth on VN38 and medical emergencies on VN524 and VN36.
These steps – first aid, medical assessment, unscheduled landing, treatment, refuel and clearance – are the usual process airlines follow when a passenger’s health problem forces a diversion. Travelers can see that safety and care are the top priorities.
