The Autumn Economic Forum 2026 gathered more than 1,500 participants from 60 countries and territories. The event highlighted how coordinated investment can help Vietnam reach its double‑digit growth goal.

The four‑day forum featured more than 250 speakers who took part in over 20 sessions covering finance, artificial intelligence, strategic technologies, advanced manufacturing and urban governance. Attendees discussed how to connect capital with technology to drive development. The breadth of topics showed the forum’s focus on modernising Vietnam’s economy.

During the event, Ho Chi Minh City unveiled 12 major investment projects worth a total of US$13 billion, covering seaports, logistics, urban development, industrial manufacturing and high‑technology. These projects represent the $13 billion investment opportunities highlighted by the forum. The launch of the Vietnam International Financial Centre in the city, together with a US$200 million pledge for renewable‑energy projects, demonstrates concrete steps to attract international capital.

Prime Minister Le Minh Hung told participants that coordinated action is essential to turn the many connections made at the forum into real projects that can sustain Vietnam’s double‑digit growth target. He also said the government will pursue institutional, legal and regulatory reforms to meet international standards. In addition, strategic breakthroughs in transport, seaports and energy infrastructure are planned to support the growth agenda.

In short, the AEF’s investment announcements and the promise of coordinated policy reforms provide the fuel Vietnam needs to keep growing at double‑digit rates. Without such joint effort, the ambitious projects and capital inflows could remain only ideas.
