Vietnam’s Nguyen Thu Thao has been crowned The Miss Globe 2026, beating 48 other contestants. This is Vietnam’s second win at the pageant, making the result important for the country.

The Miss Globe 2026 was held in Thailand from October 24 to November 7. The theme was “beauty in unity, promoting cultural diversity, international friendship and the shared aspirations of women around the world.”

In the National Costume segment, Thu Thao wore a design called Hong Phuong Ky Van. The costume was created by designer Dang Phong and was inspired by hat boi, a traditional theatrical art form from southern Vietnam, showing Vietnamese culture to the world.

Thu Thao was born in 2005, is 1.8 meters tall and studies at the National Economics University. She is the reigning Miss and Mister Tourism Vietnam 2026 winner and previously placed in the top 40 of Miss Vietnam.

Vietnam’s earlier Miss Globe successes include Do Tran Khanh Ngan’s win in 2017, Lam Thu Hong’s fourth‑runner‑up finish in 2022, and Do Ha Trang’s fourth‑runner‑up finish in 2024. Thu Thao’s victory highlights Vietnam’s growing presence in international pageants and its rich cultural heritage.
