Le Thi Chung Nhi, an ethnic‑minority artisan from central Vietnam, taught herself English with the help of AI and now uses the language to showcase her modernised brocade online. Her videos have turned a local craft into an international attraction.
Nhi used free online resources and artificial‑intelligence tools to practise speaking and expand her vocabulary. The AI exercises let her move from simple greetings to describing traditional outfits and local attractions.
She now holds English conversations and narrates her community’s culture in many of her online videos. Some clips have received tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands, of views, drawing more foreign visitors to her workshop.
Nhi reports that she has sold around 1,500 Van Kieu and Pa Ko outfits, including about 900 modernised designs. Customers from Germany, the United States and Japan have visited her shop to buy scarves and clothing as souvenirs.
Nhi’s experience shows how AI can support self‑directed language learning and help a small cultural‑heritage business reach a global audience. By combining technology with tradition, she has turned personal study into a practical marketing tool.
